Casting old pieces of jewellery to create something new.

Tuesday, October 25, 2016

This pretty little silver Cedar tree has been cast from an original piece owned by a customer.

The original piece was made in gold and very lightweight.
We were able to make a rubber mould of the tree part of the pendant and use this rubber model to pour in melted wax to create a perfect wax model.

The wax model was then sent off to the casters and cast into sterling silver, before being finished off and turned into a pendant.

We can create tiny moulds of old jewellery that would be almost impossible to replicate to create new jewellery.

So if you have a piece of jewellery that is broken and unloved at the bottom of a jewellery box and requires a bit of imagination and love, get in touch.
